ABOUT OUR FOUNDATION

We Make It Easy to Help Others

Community Youth & Citizen Development Organisation Inc. (CYCDO) is a Sydney-based not-forprofit organisation, established and run by a group of Australian-Bangladeshi professionals. This organisation aims to enhance our community through youth & citizen development. As we are living in one of the diverse multicultural countries in the world, we work to create a caring environment, through a wide range of activities, for people of all ages, colours, genders, cultures, races & religions with a focus on the community segment of adult migrants. Community development empowers community members as well as creates stronger and connected communities. Community development considers community members to be expert, satisfied and independent in their lives, and values community knowledge and wisdom. Community development has an explicit focus on the redistribution of power to address the causes of inequality and disadvantage.

OUR CAUSES

Breaking Barriers, Opening Doors

FIGHTING POVERTY

One of our main causes here at Community Youth and Citizen Development Inc. is Fighting Poverty, an issue that touches many lives, particularly those in the greater Sydney area. We spend a significant portion of our resources on tackling this problem. See how you can help by reading more or contacting one of our representatives.

FEEDING HUNGRY

It's commendable that Community Youth and Citizen Development Inc. (CYCDO) has been dedicated to addressing the issue of hunger in the greater Sydney, NSW area since its founding in 2000. Hunger is a critical issue that affects countless individuals and families, and our organization's commitment to combating it is invaluable.

By implementing these strategies and continuously striving for improvement, Community Youth and Citizen Development Inc. can make an even greater impact in alleviating hunger and promoting community well-being in the greater Sydney area and NSW Australia wide.

SUPPORT ASYLUM SEEKER, REFUGEES, HOMELESS

It's commendable that we are dedicated to supporting asylum seekers, refugees, and the homeless population in NSW. Providing basic needs such as food, transportation, and medicine can make a significant difference in their lives.

Encourage individuals passionate about social justice and humanitarian causes to volunteer their time and skills. Volunteers can assist with various tasks such as organizing donation drives, Seminar, distributing supplies, and providing support services.

Advocate for policies and initiatives that support asylum seekers, refugees, and the homeless at the local, state, and national levels. Participate in advocacy campaigns, write letters to policymakers, and engage with the media to amplify your message.

Conduct regular needs assessments to identify gaps in services and tailor your support programs accordingly. Solicit feedback from beneficiaries and stakeholders to ensure that our efforts are effectively meeting the needs of the community.

By implementing these strategies and leveraging the support of donors and volunteers, we can make a positive impact on the lives of asylum seekers, refugees, and the homeless population in NSW.Together we can make a difference !
