During the COVID-19 pandemic, CYCDO launched an initiative to provide food to refugees and those in need
The mind-blowing articulated speech of Charles Stuart University's lecturer & coordinator of accounting & business studies, Shibly Abdullah, enabled the audience to recognize the sufferings of both foreign students and refugees. Shibly is also SPMC's vice president, a member of the Sydney Alliance's Muslim community core team, and a Social & Human Rights activist member. This skilled researcher, author, and columnist humbly asked all the guests to do their utmost to help the victims of this pandemic in Australia.
Dr. Fazle Rabbi, editor-in-chief of Aus Bulletin, the Australian English community newspaper, shared his heartfelt gratitude to the organizers for taking this noble initiative to help the needy during the pandemic. He referred to his first-hand experience of helping these victims and pointed out the true status of the Australian victims who are still shy about getting support from others. These sufferers are in this condition because of the loss of their jobs due to the pandemic and also because the government does not provide any assistance. Therefore, Dr Fazle advised the guests to proactively search for these types of shy victims and to do their best to support them secretly to help protect the dignity of the victims. Delwar Khan, Shamsuddoha Khan, Hossain Arzu, and Manjurul Alam Bulu of the BSCA were the other speakers at the session. Delwar Hossain, President of Zia Parishad Australia and Convener of BNP Australia, expressed his appreciation to the organizers, too. Community leader Jamil Hossain also acknowledged the efforts of BSCA and CYCDO to assist the Australian community in this pandemic situation.
